Alanis Howard is an award-winning film and media producer, writer and editor based in Washington D.C., working throughout the East Coast.

She has over eight years of experience across all phases of film and media production, including budgeting, script revision, production coordination and editing.

Currently, as a producer & post-production producer-editor, she has headed branding and marketing campaigns for online platforms, including social media and website platforms, leading to a cumulative boost of 47% in viewership and engagement. She has worked with non-profit organizations, higher education institutions, and independent production and distribution studios throughout the United States.

Alanis holds an M.A. in Film & Media Business from Johns Hopkins University, and a B.A. in Film & Screen Studies from Pace University. She has participated in national fellowships and internships, including The Saul Zaentz Innovation Fund Fellowship 2024-25, Sundance Film Festival Internship with Oscilloscope Laboratories 2024, The Mellon Foundation’s Equity & Inclusion Storytelling Fellowship 2021, The Civilians Investigative Theatre Company internship, and the Dyson Society of Fellows for Writing on Film.
